The exceptional thing about this design is the fact that its 8 floor condominiums, approximately 42 units, will be located atop of a first class hotel which will allow for all the services of the hotel to be extended into these luxury homes. This is a very successful formula that is being now produced in urban centers such as New York and San Francisco. This will really put this project we feel on the map for Tampa.

The design we created came largely from the master plan. The master plan encompassed approximately a 20 acre area, just south of I-275 and in developing this master plan, the vehicular circulation through the sight generated a large arch of space to try to connect. This arch of space also created a central plaza area that the entire project has grown from and generated around.


The central space will serve as the grand living room for the people that live and work at Tampa Bay 1. It will be infused with light by the shops and restaurants which surround this space as much as the squares and piatsas of Europe.

The actual focus of the plaza will be an interactive fountain similar to the ones Disney has made famous. The architecture is timeless and dignified and appropriate to the region. Despite being highly efficient, the buildings have a rich sculpted quality and light fresh pallet that responds to the intensity of Florida sunlight and climate.
