Hillsborough River Tower
The Hillsborough River Tower was proposed in February 1997. The proposed tower features 920,000 square feet of rental space in 45 floors. While the tower is still proposed, it has gained all city permits and utilities are in place to begin construction. The building is waiting for a tenant to lease at least 30% before beginning construction. The tower was designed by noted architect Cesar Pelli. A rendering of the Pelli designed tower, with Tampa in the background. The site plan features a riverside park, with an elongated bowed lower section reflecting across the river.
